No one wants to read a book about murderous stalkers when they have been finding footprints in the bushes outside their bedroom window. I don't want to turn my face from a broadcast about COVID-19's death toll and open to a chapter about failed containment in World War Z.
A stalker watches a family for months. The stalker gains the confidence to move into the family’s home. For reasons undetermined, perhaps the exposition of their “haunting”, the stalker becomes a murderer. After the murders, the evil or insane murder lives in the home for a few days as though it is their own. Wears the clothes of the victims, eats their food, sleeps in their bed.
The following torture methods do not result in a victim’s death. They don’t necessarily cause permanent damage. But in many ways, they stay with you forever.
